IN NOMINE ENSEMBLE
MAY 6, 2024
JUILLIARD HISTORICAL PERFORMANCE ALUMNI, “IN NOMINE ENSEMBLE”
7:30 pm / The Kosciuszko Foundation (UES) 15 E 65 St.
As alumni of Juilliard’s Historical Performance, In Nomine (“in the name of”) believes that music can be performed in the name of anything: love, grief, anger, revival, joy, power, etc. Music must tell a story, and even the oldest stories must continue to be retold through new voices. The ensemble performs on historically accurate instruments, but strives to create new sounds from these ancestral tools.
Thanks to Louise Basbas, The Bohemians started a long tradition of featuring Renaissance and Baroque music by engaging the Juilliard415 ensemble to perform on our seasons.
